What We're Building

The path from where we are to the wider vision.

A ministry is more than a homepage. It is a series of real steps, taken in order, in partnership with churches, donors, volunteers, and neighbors. Here is the path we are walking, labeled honestly by phase so you can see what is done, what is underway, and what is still ahead.

Milestones

  1. Completed: Ministry established. We Not Me Farms Ministries Inc. incorporated in Florida and recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
  2. In progress: Store #1 underway in Crawfordville, Florida, with a building secured to lease.
  3. In progress: Launch fundraising underway, with a goal of $25,000 to open Store #1.
  4. Next: Acquire fixtures, equipment, and store-opening supplies: shelving, racks, point-of-sale equipment, signs, and cleaning equipment.
  5. Next: Build merchandise inventory with clean resale items from individual and business donors.
  6. Next: Open Store #1, the first store in our $5-or-less network.
  7. Future: Develop chemical-free ministry farms, food production, and food programs for working families along the Florida Gulf Coast.
  8. Future: Add community food programs alongside the store: pantry partners, distribution days, and community-meal support.
  9. Future: Open additional $5-or-less stores, one community at a time.
  10. Future: Build a disaster-relief network that builds capacity before disaster strikes: equipment, supplies, volunteers, and transportation ready to help neighbors after hurricanes and other emergencies.
